User Reviews about We Help Daddy (Little Golden Book)
Similar in pattern, the book is narrated by a younger sister. She and her brother have a productive day helping Daddy wash the car, do touch-ups with paint, and repair various things around their home. At bedtime, Mommy praises them for being such good helpers. As in 'We Help Mommy', kids of both genders lend a hand in all chores. Eloise Wilkins' pictures are adorable as usual. Some parents would shake their heads over a few details, like the pipe frequently dangling from the dad's mouth or the way part of the little girl's undies can be seen as she's sponging the car's tires. But such is the charm of vintage children's books. And the story's messages about helpfulness and self-esteem are timeless. -- the fraternal twin to We Help Mommy...
I wanted to give my son a copy of this book that I had read and reread to him as a small child. He's a new Daddy and will be able to read this now to his son. -- Perfect Replacement
