I have reviewed several Joke books here on Amazon and some pretty good ones at that.However;this one is a standout and lives up to its title of Humor.It is not only jokes but covers every variety of humor one can imagine.
It literally covers everything from A to Z.Starting with Absent-mindedness all the way through to Zoos.Then in Part 2 does Bumper Stickers ,Epigrams,Epitaphs,Quotations,Misprints,Pick-up Lines & Rejections,Politically Incorrect,Dumb Blonds,Limericks,Confucious, Ethnic Jokes,Puns,Put-downs,Insults,etc.,etc.,etc.
I especially like Put-downs or Insults,you know,like:
"His porch light's on but nobody's home."
or;
"He's not playing with a full deck."
Well, I've heard about 20 of them.This book has 60!
This book has a grand total of over 6000 pieces.Going through it one gets the feeling that he is going through the files of someone who has spent a lifetime collecting every type of humor.
After telling a joke we have all heard someone say "I don't know how you remember those jokes,I never can."You don't have to;pick up this book for a couple of minutes before going out, you'll be loaded for bear.

I would say this is the most comprehensive joke book I have ever read. It has clean jokes, dirty jokes, filthy jokes, not funny jokes, extremely funny jokes, pick-up lines, cut-downs, quotes, epitaphs, one-liners, funny bumper stickers, Puns, Limericks, etc...

Seriously, every joke I have ever heard and tons more are in this book. If you like comedy and need some new jokes before heading to the bar with your mates, grab this book. -- This book has it all!

As an entertainer who writes, reads, and uses a LOT of humor (not stolen...occasionally "switched"!) I LOVE joke books. But a lot of the ones on the market become old very fast. NOT THIS BOOK! The Mammoth Book of Humor has it all. There's a lot of old stuff, hilarious stuff, some corny stuff and some stuff that has apparently been lifted from internet joke lists. Its very well organized and indexed so if you're looking for something specific it is exceedingly easy to find it. And if you're like me and deface your joke books -- I circle the ones I like and tell friends, etc. -- you're going to find that a LOT of these jokes in a row will be circled. You'll find everything from puns, to putdowns, to politically incorrect jokes. And YES: if you are someone who believes it is a heinous crime to tell a joke poking fun at a given group, you probably won't like it. This contains ALL kinds of jokes including a section on politically incorrect jokes. And in that section EVERYONE is blasted. In my own case, I love to poke fun at myself (short jokes), my "group" etc so perhaps I am a bit insensitive. If you like to LAUGH and want to have a well-organized treasure chest of jokes, epigrams, riddles, etc that will get BIG LAUGHS you MUST have this book in your collection. This is one of those joke books that I read, circle, then go back and read the ones I liked again. With a lot of joke books I only have a few jokes circled. This one has circles all over the book. It even has more than its HUGE collection of well-organized jokes: there are hilarious bumper sticker slogans, misprints, a comic dictionary, epitaths, humorous quotes, quotes from kids. Limericks. If you like jokes, you'll want it. If you're a professional speaker or comedian, you'll NEED it. I'll do a show tomorrow for a guy who loves singing. I'm going to look through the singing jokes and adapt a few. This book has been a pleasure to read, re-read (the circled parts) and will be a valuable reference tool when I want to give friends, family or audiences a huge laugh. I have a lot of joke books -- and this ranks among the VERY BEST. LOVE IT! -- LOVE IT! LOVE IT!
