EXCERPT:

There, on the rocks, was a figure—my real stranger. I had no proof, no validation. The blood in my veins knew he was the one.

He had spiked short hair on the top, a soft kind of faux hawk. Some sleek, longer strands reached the base of his neck.

He was also shirtless, but the thing that caught my attention, that made me do a double-take, was what appeared to be a pair of wings on this pale figure’s back. A pair of ashen-grey, draconic wings. They came up slightly over his shoulders, and the tips were folded across the small of his back.

It was a beautiful night. The waves were gently washing in upon the shore. And there this pristine figure calmly sat.

User Reviews about The Devilin Fey (paranormal romance)

The Devilin Fey

Caitlin Fey was a very reserved ,well mannered ,career orientated women. She had a good head on her shoulders . Caitlin was writing an expose for the Collage magazine about a man named Zac Walsh. It would show how derogatory and negative the impact of his publication was to women as a whole.

But once she met him some how she let this conniving manipulating man seduce her. After allowing this man in her bed she felt wrong and dirty , all she could think about was the man who had for the last few nights been visiting her dreams. She some how felt she betrayed him witch was silly since he was not real. After realizing she needed to clear her head some, she went for a walk. And there on the rocks by the shore was the man from her dreams with beautiful wings on his back. once he noticed she was there his wings disappeared and a shirt was there in its place. They talked for a long time he made her feel wanted and safe. Lucius was very taken by her , he felt she was different than other people and he was tired of being by himself.

Once she had really gotten to know him she finds out he is a Succubus and he invades peoples dreams and feeds off their sexual energy. This is all OK for Caitlin at first till she starts feeling a little different and she notices she can smell other peoples sexual history on them. This worries her so she discusses this with Lucius and he explains that she is becoming part Succubus and that she must embrace it. Caitlin is not sure that this is what she wants. Can she do what Lucius dose? would she enjoy this ? Is there a little bit of devil in side her just waiting to be released if she just lets it? Can she be with Lucius forever and live this life ?

This was an interesting story i liked Lucius, it thought he was the best character. I wished he was a little more alpha male but i guess it would not have worked for her to be a succubus and him get all jealous. I think it would have been nice to have their relationship been a little more intense . Otherwise i thought it was an easy light read, something to satisfy your reading cravings in between the big series that you are reading . If want a quick easy read this is a great read for you. I did like the ending though, but of course i cant tell you the ending because what would be the fun in that, you need to read it for your self.

Tongue-Tied

Amanda in her quest to find some one to connect with she was a with a man tonight , but once they were done having sex she did not look satisfied and unknown to her she was being watched by a sneaky little succubus. This succubus was in thralled by her she wanted to figure her out why was she with this man who obviously had no idea how to satisfy her.She felt that if she had a chance she could satisfy Amanda. She follows her into another room and watches wail Amanda satisfy herself since this man obviously could not do it. After she was sated she sat there half asleep half not. The Succubus approaches her and to here surprise Amanda speaks to her as if she sees her and asks her ware her wings are. If this was not a surprise enough Amanda Kisses her. Witch would not be so weird , except for the fact that no one should be able to see or touch her when she is like that.

After following Amanda around some more and fighting her self weather she should continue to keep stalking her or not . She finds she cant stay away. She must know if Amanda likes girls or not , if she would like her or not. She follows Amanda to a Chinese place and sees her meet with a girl and confirms that she is in fact interested in girls, then this makes the succubus a bit jealous . She is determined to make this one hers . Will she? Will Amanda want her in return?

This story was a not my normal read. But it also was a quick and easy read. I was unclear to who the Succubus was if it was intended to be Caitlin? If so ware was Lucius? I remember the mention of a Amanda in the professors dream in The Devilin Fey that is why I thought it may have meant to be Caitlin in this story but it was unclear. Otherwise it was a quick and easy read. -- Quick read
The Devilin Fey (paranormal romance)
A very interesting book, could lead you astray, if you wanted, but don't go too far. You could fall over the cliff between life and death.
A page is read, you cannot get to the next one quick enough.
In the end you know why the story ends but you will sit there waiting for it to start again.
When is the next book coming out? -- The Devilin Fey
There's only one novel to get the palatable line: "The store seemed classy, with just a whisper of tartiness." Jess C. Scott's The Devilin Fey was more than an appealing, high-class read; and, Caitlin Fey gave me what I needed in a sexpot. Either, Jess has a superb editor, or clearly understands the mechanics of writing from the first-person point-of-view. There are many subtle touches to the style of writing that evidence that is the latter. The Devilin Fey's opening pages forced me to straddle on the fence, as I was classifying the novel as a "mysterious romance," and then I learned why I was so intrigued. One word: incubus. Never heard the word, read The Devilin Fey for a thorough demonstration. The short story ran 120 pages, was fast paced, sexually electrified, and contained the "Women 101: Manifesto."

Jess C. Scott is a writer that will be elevated to another place, and her writing voice is a fine marriage between Danielle Steele and Bram Stoker. A must read for and paranormal or romance reader!
-- SEX, DRUGS, AND MISS FEY!
The Devilin Fey by Jess Scott is a sexy, sexy novel baby.

What I Can Tell You:

The Devilin Fey is unusual, intriguing and sexy. Jess C. Scott has a different take on paranormal and it wasn't so Sci Fi that I got lost in all the mumbo jumbo. Loved it. I will be picking up more Jess C Scott books.
The book is sexy but there isn't "enough" sex for me. -- Paranormal Romance is hot!
