Homespun Bride (The McKaslin Clan: Historical Series, Book 1) (Steeple H

Montana Territory in 1883 was a dangerous place--especially for a blind woman struggling to make her way through an early winter snowstorm. Undaunted, Noelle Kramer fought to remain independent. But then a runaway horse nearly plunged her into a rushing, ice-choked river, before a stranger's strong, sure hand saved her from certain death.

And yet this was no stranger. Though she could not know it, her rescuer was rancher Thad McKaslin, the man who had once loved her more than life itself. Losing her had shaken all his most deeply held beliefs. Now he wondered if the return of this strong woman was a sign that somehow he could find his way home.

User Reviews about Homespun Bride (The McKaslin Clan: Historical Series - Book 1) (Steeple Hill Love Inspired Historical #2)

I read this eBook in one sitting and it was sweet, nice, gentle romance of a bygone era in which holding hands at church social was considered scandalous. If you like innocent romance books, this is a nice option. -- A nice story & quick read
I don't know the reason people are stating this book is predictable, boring, etc. I did not read all of the reviews but in my opinion, this is a great book. I just hate it ended so soon and wished there was a sequel or series. I found it very entertaining and it had me hooked from the first chapter. I love historical romances as they always remind me of the "Little House on the Prairie" shows. Being a believer in God myself, I look for those books with biblical/Godly themes. I absolutely loved (& still love) to watch those. The spiritual/religious overtones in this book are not heavy at all. It's basically the same overtones as the Little House on the Prairie or the Waltons. the author is not forcing anyone to believe a certain way. It's just the way one character in the book was raised to believe. Everyone has a religion even atheists/agnostics whether they admit it or not. The atheists/agnostics believe in themselves and make themselves their 'God'(which is a religion) I wouldn't think they would have a problem with this book unless they don't have tolerance for those who choose to believe in God. Which if you're offended by the mere mention of God or the Bible, then by all means don't read this book. I read non-religious books as well as religious. It is a very light read in my opinion which is what I like late at night. May have been predictable but most books I read are predictable as face it, it's very hard to come up with a story line no one else has done before. Just look at the movies and how many re-makes are being made instead of original movies.

If this one stays free, give it a try, you just might find it's not as bad as some reviewers make it out to be. -- Very entertaining to me
This was the first Kindle book that I read, and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was, especially since it was free. -- Very Good Read
I know this is brief, but wanted to say that this was enjoyable book. Yes, it may be predictable, but I have not found any in this genre that are not. This was a pleasant story with old time family values and a safe read for a teenager. Faith is demonstrated through the book, but it is not shoved down your throat,as some may not like. Worth the price and worth the read! -- I really enjoyed this!
