User Reviews about Feather (Unedited Signed First Edition: Book One of Feather Book Series)

I enjoyed this book and thought this was a good read to pass the time with. It did have a "few" errors that were present in the book that i dont see how they could have been over looked that easily and also had a few structure problems. I did ,however, like the idea of two people sharing the same soul and struggling to fight for harmony between each other. Though some people thought the end was depressing, they should really keep reading. The books only get better and have a wonderful ending that makes the series feel complete and whole. But sadly, yet again, you have people trying to say that every book YA novel that was publish past twilight is a twilight ripoff. Anyone who is looking for those similarities can easily find them in other YA novels. -- A good read
THis book will help develop reading skills and the reader's cmprehension skills. Unified in theme and up to date in its social issues, this book will work to stimulate interest in reading. Coyote April -- clearly an adventure in reading
I"m still confused by this book. Estella started off this strong and independent person and somewhere in the middle she turned into this sort of needy person. I realize that her not having a soul and then finding someone that makes her feel might make her drawn towards him but did she have to become so needy? I sort felt that the middle of the book was sort of useless information. The overall story was good but I just got bored in the middle. Not sure if I'll continue the series or not. I hate reading romances that don't make me feel at least a little happy or giddy. I knew this story was going to be somewhat darker based on the summary, but I was suprised by just how little happiness I found from reading this. The story line is original and interesting, two immortal beings sharing one complete soul with each being the polar opposite of the other. I did not really see the similarites to Twilight that so many talked about. If you are looking for them then yeah, I am sure you can find some in almost all young adult romances. Edgar did have trouble being around Estella without wanting to kill her, but he seemed to struggle with this A LOT more than Edward did, or at least it was a bigger focus in this novel. Estella's lack of happiness or really any feelings left me depressed. I wanted to know how it ended, but I did not really want to go to the trouble of wading through the I love you but I can't stand to touch you drama, or the I wish I could be happy or cry about something, blah blah blah. I did finish it with a feeling of relief that it was over and aggravation at how it ended.

SPOILER: The whole book was somewhat depressing and then it ends depressing too.

I know that there are already two other novels that go with this one, so maybe the characters are able to develop their relationship more. I just wish it had more happy moments. I am one of those people who reads to be thrust into a new world and at the end feel happy about the experience or at least have hope that it will be happy soon. Maybe I should read the second book before I make my judgements, but I just can't bring myself to care enough about the characters to give it another go. It wasn't that it was poorly written. I just prefer some semblance of happiness in a romance. -- Main character's lack of happiness reflects on reader
