This easy step-by-step method emphasizes correct playing habits and note reading through interval recognition. I was really pleased with this purchase. This book is teaching my 6 year old to play the piano. I originally planned to teach her the basics using this book and then I would pay for professional lessons. She has completed half of the book and is currently learning how to read music notes. I do wish they had more familiar songs that she knows versus songs that we have never heard of. She does however enjoy playing the piano and has a love for it. She plays the piano on a daily basis and always wants to have recitals for her stuffed toys. This book and whole series works very well for all of my students and their different learning styles.
